Conference Venue: green business WORLD CONGRESS at one of Europe’s most beautiful palaces

The Imperial Hofburg Palace was the seat of the Austrian Emperor for more than 600 years—a dignified framework for the green business WORLD CONGRESS.

The Imperial Hofburg Palace was, for more than 600 years, not only the center of the Habsburg Empire but also, above all, the main residence of the royal family. Today, the Austrian President, various ministers and state secretaries use the regal rooms as their official offices. Numerous important cultural institutions have taken up residence in the former imperial winter seat, as well.

Up to 1918, the Hofburg Palace was the center of the extensive empire of the Habsburg emperors. Initially, the grandiose concept was to create an “Emperor’s Forum,” which generously continued to build impressive structures around it, commencing with the “old castle” in the 13th Century, and continuing up to 1900.

Today, one can see more than two-dozen art collections of international format. Also part of the Imperial Hofburg Palace is the world renowned Spanish Horse Riding School, with the white Lipizzaner stallions, the Emperor’s apartments (the former home of the Habsburgs, where Empress Elisabeth resided), the most significant royal vault in the world, containing the treasure of the Order of the Golden Fleece and the crown jewels of the Holy Roman Empire, the Ephesus Museum and the Albertina, with one of the most significant art collections in the world. In the midst of these truly unique surroundings, the green business WORLD CONGRESS will take place.

The Vienna Hofburg consists of 500,000 square meters with 18 wings, 54 staircases, 19 courtyards and 2,600 rooms.
